Communications Manager

American Himalayan Foundation, San Francisco, California, United States, 94199

About the FoundationThe American Himalayan Foundation (AHF) was founded in 1981 by a small group of climbers who went to Nepal and Tibet for the mountains but who returned over and over for the people. AHF’s first partners were Sir Edmund Hillary and His Holiness the Dalai Lama, working with the Sherpas and Tibetan refugees. That continues, but our reach has expanded to touch the lives of many thousands of people in need throughout the Himalaya every year.AHF works in partnership with visionary local individuals and organizations, balancing innovation and tradition to bring shelter, education, health, and opportunity to people who have no one else – whether girls at risk of being trafficked, children with disabilities, or Tibetans struggling to survive and maintain their culture. With a headquarters in San Francisco and a Kathmandu regional office, and our motto: “Do good, be kind, have fun,” we get a lot done.
