Position OverviewThe VP of Marketing will have strategic and operational responsibility for brand management, company and intermediary digital engagement, PR and communications, the marketing CRM functions, visual identity, design, production of marketing collateral, and digital marketing. This will be a hands-on role as a player/manager to drive all branding and marketing initiatives in our firm. This individual will have the opportunity to refine and manage our 3rd party support partners and will have 1 direct report.

Seeking someone who loves a challenge, has a strong balance of marketing and technology skills, loves the art and metric-driven science of marketing, and knows how to use digital marketing strategies to drive brand awareness. The VP of Marketing will work on a range of projects and gain professional exposure to a number of functions and industries. This position is very entrepreneurial in nature and can enhance in scope with the specific strengths of the individual.

Responsibilities

Digital Marketing:

Build and implement firm's digital presence through all facets of marketing – website, SEO, social, etc. Be a thought leader for their portfolio of companies in guiding their digital growth journey.

Content Marketing and PR:

Refine and maintain the strategic plan for using content to deliver the objectives of the group. Lead the charge in developing compelling branded content - written, graphical, & video - that increases brand awareness, thought leadership and visibility. Work closely with Business Development to coordinate outbound content campaigns.

Event Marketing:

Research and identify key event opportunities that can elevate the brand and support our marketing objectives. Plan and manage events and webinars by identifying, coordinating and assembling requirements, developing assignments and schedules, coordinating contact lists, creating presentations, hosting webinars, promoting the events and tracking and sharing results.

Marketing Operations:

Update the corporate website and manage social media channels, identify and manage online communities. Maintain an inventory and directory of Business Development support materials making sure all resources are accurate and current.

Qualifications

Exceptional writing, editing and communication skills rooted in marketing and advertising.

Strong eye for content creation and digital layouts.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and track record of exceeding goals.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Proficient with LinkedIn and Facebook ads, paid content.

Marketing Automation Platform and CRM experience.

Event management experience or desire to learn including virtual, such as webinars, and in-person events.

Ability or desire to learn how to define and track KPIs across programs and tasks.

Candidates must be a self-starter and motivated, with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work both independently and within teams.

Experience or interest in learning about private equity.
