Corus International is seeking a Graphic Designer to join its Global Relationships and Resources Department. This position may be based in Washington, DC or Baltimore, Maryland in a hybrid remote working capacity of two days a week in the office with Tuesday being a core office day.

Apply now, read the job details by scrolling down Double check you have the necessary skills before sending an application.Position Summary:The Graphic Designer reports directly to the Associate Director, Visual Design and Web Strategy, and works collaboratively with the Senior Manager, Graphic Design to deliver high-impact, best-in-class print, digital and motion design for Corus International. This position produces designs for multiple brands and reaches wide and varied audiences, from international development professionals to charitable donors to consumers. This position also supports marketing and fundraising efforts that distinguish and elevate the brands.Responsibilities:Design for Corus International's entire portfolio of brands including Lutheran World Relief, IMA World Health, Corus World Health, CGA Technologies, Ground Up Investing, and Farmers Market Coffee.Deliver on a wide array of print and digital media, including publications, signage, web, social media, advertisements, infographics, presentations and motion graphics.Work with colleagues to develop concepts that meet business goals and deadlines.Manage print production with procurement and vendors.Ensure all creative is on brand and adheres to brand guidelines.Prioritize and manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions.Ensure projects are completed with the highest quality and on schedule.Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree.Five years' relevant work experience which includes significant experience in a graphics design capacity.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesExcellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.Familiarity with project management tools (Team Gantt, Slack, etc.)Expert in Adobe Creative Cloud software, including apps for both digital and traditional production.Expert with both print and digital design media and how to intersect the two.Ability to distill highly technical subject matter into clear and meaningful infographics.Understanding of printing methods and print production with experience working directly with production vendors.Experience in web design and with open-source CMS (WordPress, Drupal) a plus.Proficiency with PowerPoint, word processing, email and web browser software.Experience with video editing software and developing animations a plus.Agency experience a plus.Experience in non-profit, cause-related or donor-centric marketing preferred.Physical and Mental RequirementsThe physical requirements that may be needed to execute responsibilities may include bending, standing, and walking.The mental requirements that are essential to satisfactorily executing the responsibilities outlined in this job description include: learning new tasks, comprehending, and retaining information, completing tasks independently, effectively communicating verbally and in writing, demonstrating proficiency in using computer software to perform assigned tasks.Corus International is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
