Role Overview:South Park Digital Studios is actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated web developer and frontend engineer for the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of dynamic, cross-platform, and multilingual user experiences for a global audience. The perfect candidate embodies creativity, self-driven initiative, adaptability across various functions, a quick grasp of concepts, and an eagerness to both acquire new proficiencies and elevate existing ones. Adept multitasking and robust time-management skills are essential traits for this role.To excel in this position, a strong sense of teamwork, unconventional problem-solving capabilities, proficiency in multiple programming languages, and a genuine enthusiasm for collaborating within a cross-functional and DevOps-oriented environment are crucial. It's important to highlight that submission of a portfolio along with code samples is a mandatory requirement for consideration.Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with the product, design, and engineering teams.Research new technologies and propose solutions to user needs.Identify UI problems and bugs and devise elegant solutions.Participate in code reviews and ship code on a daily basis.Develop fully functional web applications that align with business objectives.Follow the best practices in developments and improve them.Complete all required paperwork and documentation according to guidelines and deadlines as assigned.Exemplify both technical expertise and empathy.Overhaul user interfaces to optimize for speed and ease of use.Assist in the test strategy and execution of the master test plan.Basic Qualifications:
4+ years of experience building intuitive systems in Javascript technologies such as React, including concepts like asynchronous programming, closures, types, and ES6.HTML/CSS experience, including concepts like layout, specificity, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility.Experience with browser APIs and optimizing front-end performance.4+ years of experience modeling data flow between systems to enable transactional workflows and upstream/downstream integrations.Able to analyze, debug, and troubleshoot problems in the code.Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years experience working with Cloud technologies (AWS is preferred).Experience designing and developing highly scalable web applications.Experience working with cross-browser behaviors and quirks.Experience with Node.js.Passion for UI; Good sense of usability and design.Experience working with different teams.4+ years of experience working with code bases building microservices, REST APIs.Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases, PHP (Plus).Knowledge of distributed caches (like Redis, Memcache, etc.) and Pub/Sub (like Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.) (Plus).Experience with full stack development, preferably in one or more OO programming languages like C# or Java (Plus).Interested applicants should e-mail ASAP a resume to
