Audio Visual Project Manager Overview

CoStar Group is searching for an Audio Visual Project Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the strategy, execution, and successful completion of complex low-voltage projects, particularly office relocation scenarios. This position requires a deep understanding of low-voltage systems, networking, and audio-visual installations, as well as strong project management skills. This role is located in our Washington, DC office and would require 5 days per week on-site. This role would require travel within the US up to twice a month.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the deployment and relocation of new offices, ensuring all low-voltage infrastructure and systems are installed and operational.

Develop and implement procedures and controls to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget constraints.

Collaborate with project Superintendents and Engineering teams to manage project documentation requirements and maintain accurate records.

Create and manage resource-loaded project schedules to ensure efficient project execution.

Coordinate project kick-off meetings and conduct key monthly project reviews to monitor progress and address any issues.

Forecast manpower needs and coordinate the acquisition of materials, tools, and equipment required for project completion.

Ensure project profitability by identifying cost-saving measures, improving quality, and implementing best practices.

Write detailed RFPs and Scopes of Work and review complex bid documents and specifications to ensure compliance with project scope.

Perform hands-on tasks such as setting up and pulling in low-voltage copper and fiber cabling, terminating cables, and building out telecom rooms (TRs) to meet design requirements.

Oversee the installation of audio-visual and security solutions, ensuring alignment with project goals.

Provide daily, weekly, and monthly Quality Assurance for ISP cabling, AV, and Security scope, documenting non-compliant work and overseeing punch list resolution.

Design cable plant and collect requirements for conference AV design and build.

Collaborate with facilities, networking, and the AV build team.

Write and deploy RFPs for cable plant scheduling the installation of wire plant, AV equipment, security cameras and access systems, and network lines.

Testing and final office technology commissioning.

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree from an accredited not for profit college or university.

A track record of commitment to prior employers.

8+ years of experience in project management/leadership within the telecommunications and low-voltage industry, with a focus on managing large cabling infrastructure projects.

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project).

Strong technical knowledge of low-voltage systems, networking, and audio-visual installations.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

A track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Ability to lift and move objects up to 80 lbs.

Ability to work on ladders and under tables.

This position offers a base salary range of $93,500- $135,100 based on relevant skills and experience and includes a generous benefits plan. We welcome all qualified candidates who are currently eligible to work full-time in the United States to apply.
