DescriptionAbout the Role:We are seeking a Visual Communication Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a variety of graphics, illustrations, and digital media to support marketing and communications activities in the field of transportation and technology. You will collaborate with professionals in various areas to produce high-quality design products that advance research and promote intelligent transportation systems and automated vehicle technologies.Responsibilities Include:Create branding, digital content, and data visualizations for technical reports, presentations, social media, and websites.Maintain and update brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all design materials.Ensure compliance with accessibility standards and best practices for graphical components.Collaborate with web developers to oversee and update digital content with responsive design principles.Identify and implement improved design processes and methodologies.Maintain open communication with relevant teams and stakeholders.Stay informed on industry trends and mentor junior designers.Manage larger design projects to ensure timely completion.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in computer graphics, animation, communications, or a related discipline with 2+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with less than 2 years of experience.Digital portfolio demonstrating creative execution of recent work.Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.Ability to manage multiple projects, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality design.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Valid driver's license and ability to pass a DMV background check.Preferred Qualifications:Advanced understanding or experience in transportation, engineering, or emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence.Experience with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and web design and development is a plus.
