Social Media Marketing Specialist

She's Happy Hair (SHH) is seeking a motivated Social Media Specialist. Using a unified brand and communications strategy, the social media specialist will plan, produce and publish content that promotes She's Happy Hair products on social media platforms and support marketing campaigns to increase awareness, website traffic and sales. The social media specialist will serve as the primary staff member responsible for content creation and the monitoring and maintaining of all She's Happy Hair social media platforms. The position tracks metrics, identifies trends, recommends responses and devises social media strategy to address assigned call to actions. The social media specialist works with the leadership team to develop tactics to support social media initiatives and campaigns, as well as with the Brand Ambassador Manager to ensure alignment.***THIS IS A IN PERSON POSITION***IN OUR CORPORATE OFFICE IN HOUSTON, TX***Serves as the primary staff member responsible for establishing, developing, monitoring and maintaining She's Happy Hair social media presence.Writes copy, designs and coordinates the production of social media communication content; participates in online social media conversationsProvides customer service to customers and prospects across digital channels.Listens and responds with immediacy to questions of She's Happy Hair social media followers;Responds to direct messages providing efficient customer service and assisting with salesIdentifies high priority or sensitive social media conversations; makes recommendations on howto address issues.Develops integrated social media communication plans to meet objectives based on buyerpersonas, competitor analysis, reviews, and social listening.Builds digital communities through social media channels and grows and engages user base.Manages social listening efforts and reports back to management, especially when receivingnegative product reviews.Collaborates with leadership teams (video, web, photoshoots) to develop social content.Compiles data, analyzes and reports on social media efforts.Manages overall development and refinement of social media strategy and innovative approachto content.Monitors trends and develops relevant content.Attend weekly or biweekly departmental meetings.Ability to develop vast knowledge about She's Happy Hair and its productsPerforms other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:Bachelor degreeTwo (2) years of professional experience in a marketing communications team working withsocial media contentProven knowledge of social media/digital platforms.Familiar with digital media technology and current and future trends.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Organized, creative and able to take direction and work to meet expected deadlines and schedules.Demonstrated team player.

Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher in media advertising, digital media, marketing or related communication fields.Experience in hair and beauty, or consumer-facing digital marketing.Familiar with the She's Happy Hair brandExperience with digital media creation, analytics and data tracking is a plus.Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and CanvaExperience with Hootsuite.
