MOCEAN is looking for an Art Director to join our Social and Brand division. This position will work across a variety of disciplines to ideate, develop, and create content across a variety of platforms. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the social space, enjoys bringing to life fresh concepts, and has the desire to continually redefine and reimagine the possibilities of the work created. The Art Director will have the vision to create big-picture plans and the technical expertise to execute them flawlessly. This role is for someone ready to take the next step and help shape a growing department.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and craft social campaigns for major entertainment propertiesConceptualize and bring to life social-forward tacticsDevelop and maintain the look and feel for social accounts and entertainment properties, following brand style guidesCollaborate with social, strategy, production and editorial teams dailyTake ownership and build dynamic presentation decks for campaigns and pitches that take clients on a visual journeyPresent work to clients regularly to foster and build a creative partnershipProvide direction to designers, editors, and animators to help produce work at the highest qualityOversee creative on multiple projects at any given timeRequirements and Preferences
Availability to work during West coast business hours - no exceptionsExperience working on social entertainment campaigns5+ years designing and setting looks for campaigns (agency experience a plus)4+ years graphic design and art directionStrong organizational and teamwork skills, be self-motivated, confident, energetic, and creativeSocial-forward campaign work in your portfolioSolid understanding of social media trendsProficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Google SuiteNot required, but a plus
Familiarity with generative AI tools and/or motion graphicsPitch experienceWinner of Clios, Webby, One Show, Art Directors Club or Cannes Lions
