WSC is seeking a Marketing Assistant or Marketing Coordinator to collaborate with engineers, planners, project managers, graphic designers, strategic communicators, and technical leaders in advancing our business development, brand engagement, and pursuit/proposal success. Working with technical team members and within an established Marketing Team, you will gain experience on a variety of challenging and exciting projects and proposals.

The position can be based out of any of our five California office locations with a flexible hybrid work option. Some travel throughout California may be required.

What You Will Do

This is an entry- to mid-level role on our Marketing Team that collaborates often with engineers, project managers, and technical project teams. We are looking for an individual to support our Marketing Team in positioning WSC for new opportunities; creating proposals, statement of qualifications and interview materials; maintaining standard materials such as project descriptions and resumes: providing copy editing and document review; coordinating our professional conference participation; supporting our CRM system with data entry and management; and assisting on a variety of brand related tasks. This role requires strong organizational, communications, and document production skills.

As a successful six-member core Marketing Team, we have some flexibility in how we fill this position. We are open to considering candidates with limited experience who are motivated to fill this role and gain training. We are also open to considering candidates with higher business development and marketing experience and skill than those specified.

What You Bring

A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, preferred but not requiredDegree in journalism, communications, or a similar field, preferred but not requiredPrior experience with the proposal development process in the Architecture/Engineering (A/E) industry is highly desirableProficient in Adobe InDesignExperience with Microsoft Office products (excellent Microsoft Word skills are a plus)Basic knowledge of document layout and production principles: Familiarity with the fundamental principles, practices, and techniques involved in document design, layout and productionWriting and proofreading skillsGood communication skillsAble to work well with others and independentlyHigh level of attention to detailAbility to prioritize and multitask

Salary Range : The salary range for this position is $67,000 to $95,000 annually depending on experience.
