Position Summary

EVENTS (PROMOTIONS, ENTERTAINMENT/SPECIAL EVENTS): Responsible for preparation of monthly promotion submissions with the Database Marketing Manager to provide Proforma/Postformas, matrix and other data for Sandia Tribal Gaming Commission (STGC) approvals. Directs Players Club team members in the execution of promotions. Assists the Marketing Director in all aspects of casino entertainment. Research, evaluate and present entertainment opportunities for scheduling the amphitheater, lounge, ballrooms and any other venue that is within budget. Assists with Contracts, coordination of security, concessions, ushers, and advancement of all shows. Responsible for the coordination of operational detailing on all marketing special events, including the preparation of any STGC requirements.

Supervision Exercised

Reports to the Director of Marketing. Supervises Amphitheater Ushers.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

PROMOTIONSAssists with the organization's marketing, advertising and promotion activities including print, electronic and direct mail outlets.Assists with the direction and works with marketing manager on copywriting, design, layout, production of direct mail materials.Supervises and monitors the conduct of promotional drawings, activities.Develops and maintains a team work environment.Monitors staff performance to ensure guest service standards are achieved.Assists with corporate communications programs designed to provide Team Members with information to keep them well-informed about current promotions and events, and to promote interest in the company and assist in maintaining high levels of morale.ENTERTAINMENT

Responsible for assisting in the booking of entertainment in a 4,400 seat amphitheater, casino lounge, and a 1,000 seat bingo hall, ballrooms.Responsible for coordination of production elements of entertainment to include but not limited to technical aspects, sound and lighting.Monitors entertainment for profitability.Distributes materials and manages entertainment meetings.Reviews print ad layout designs for accuracy.Provides feedback on radio/television ad production.Receives and follows through on communication as directed.Coordinates and schedules security, ushers, concession booths, etc.Performs other duties as assigned.Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience

Required:

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field and three (3) years' experience in marketing/entertainment/public relations field. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling seven (7) years may substitute for the required education and experience.Preferred:

Gaming and Resort experience.Licensing Status

Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License.Will require a post-offer, pre-employment and random drug screening.Working Conditions

Work hours subject to change with overtime work required to work various shifts, including weekends.Must be able to work long hours under stressful conditions.Subject to hazards which may cause personal bodily harm; smoke, common colds, influenza, dust, odors, and elevated noise levels.Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined, hard and soft carpeted floors, cement structures and surfaces.Duties may involve walking, standing for long periods of time, sitting, and crouching.Specific required movements include the following:Trunk-bend, twist, rotate, push, pull, and carry.Arms-reach, push, pull, lift, twist, and rotate.Legs-lift, push, pull, twist, and rotate.Hands-grasp, manipulate, bilateral coordination, overall and finger dexterityEye and hand coordination
