Essential Duties
Provides content-related and appropriate instruction based on Fulton County's curriculumProvides classroom environment which promotes active learning in subject areaExhibits knowledge of performance-based instruction and assessmentCommunicates responsibly with students, parents, colleagues, and school leadershipAccounts for student attendance and punctualityFollows all county, state, and federal policies and proceduresFollows professional ethics in all work-related activitiesPrepares adequately for responsibilities to be assumed when absentWorks with parents/guardians in all aspects of the student's educational programFacilitates home-school communication by such means as holding conferences, telephoning, and sending written communicationsIntegrates appropriate technology into classroom instructionAvoids behaviors which detract from staff moralePerforms other duties as assigned by the appropriate administratorRequired Education
Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited university
Certification/Licensure
Valid Georgia Teaching Certification in applicable field required, or must be eligible to hold a valid Georgia Teaching Certificate
Experience Qualifications
0-1 year of classroom experience required
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Proven communication and instructional strategiesClassroom management skillsExcellent communication skills both orally and in writingExcellent organizational skillsWorking Conditions

Ability to lift and carry 30-50 pounds with assistanceAbility to push or pull a maximum of 50 poundsMay require stooping or crouching
