We are seeking a
Graphics Designer
who is passionate about protecting the nation's transportation systems to keep our loved ones safe and the goods and commerce we rely on moving about the country safely.
This position is located with our client in the Washington, D.C. Metro Area on a hybrid contract.
The Graphics Designert will report to Dignari program leadership and to the federal client supporting the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) with a mission to protect the nation's transportation systems to ensure freedom of movement for people and commerce.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESThis role will provide graphics design support to an office within TSA, which requires a strong work ethic, impeccable written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to engage with senior-level stakeholders.Works with Dignari Project Managers to identify the designs and graphics needed for their projects and initiatives and provides plans and timelines for delivering larger deliverables.Works closely with the Communications Specialist to provide design and graphics support for briefing decks, internal and external communications, agency training briefings, print documents, and layout for hard copy products, templates, talking points, slick sheets, and infographics.Create visual content for online and offline projectsDetermines the best visual layout and design according to the target audience, the key messages to convey, and the communication medium required.Proactively creates and organizes a library of TSA templates in MS PowerPoint, Word, and other appropriate applications.Works with the Communication Specialist to develop graphics and designs to complement text and finds innovative ways to turn text into graphic representations of the intended message.Delivers polished graphic design materials to deliver to the client.Other duties as assigned.Position Requirements

Knowledge of federal communication guidelines like 508 complianceAbility to adhere to a style guideIndustry knowledge of how government agencies operateAbility to understand technical and government terms and translate to all audiencesAbility to work well with executives and understand their needsAbility to work autonomously and think independentlyAbility to design and deliver on tight timelinesAbility to translate copy into graphic designsPays close attention to detail and creates designs that are uniform and consistentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsOutstanding organizational skillsAbility to track, manage, and ensure project tasks are completed in a timely mannerProficient in MS Office, including Word and PowerPoint, Power BI, Adobe SuitePOSITION REQUIREMENTS
