Google Production Platform (GPP) is a solution which will simplify the development and operation of Google products and services at scale. The platform will increase innovation by decreasing the complexity and toil of developing and operating services at Google scale.

Job responsibilities:The ideal UX writer will work to communicate effectively with Google users at scale and be able to influence how content strategy shapes product design, within a constantly evolving, competitive computing environment.

Collaborate with designers, UXR, product managers, engineers, and other XFN stakeholders to write clear, concise, and polished content for Google developer tools, from conception to implementation.Document and articulate reasoning behind design/UX writing decisions to stakeholders.Champion the value of the content design discipline, establish strong relationships, and build alignment across teams and Client.Balance and manage feedback from multiple stakeholders and apply sound judgement in incorporating revisions.Be an advocate for users and a subject matter expert for UXW.Develop, document, and maintain writing guidelines and word lists.

Minimum Qualifications (MQs):

Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communication, Literature, Business, Marketing, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.5+ years of UX writing experience or transferable writing and content strategy experienceExperience in a UX team collaborating with product management and engineering through the product development processPortfolio demonstrating UX writing excellence, tone and voice, writing guidelines, and other standardsSuperb writing, editing, and project management skills.

Preferred Qualifications (PQs):

Experience in enterprise UX, as opposed to consumer UXExperience working on large-scale apps and services with complex cross-PA requirements7+ years of UX writing experience or transferable writing and content strategy experienceProven leadership, influencing, collaboration, and communication skills, with a high level of comfort communicating to all levels of leadership.Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment. Enjoys working closely with teammates from a variety of disciplines.Experience working with design tools (e.g. Figma)
