Position Description:

LCG is seeking a UI/UX Designer with expertise in 508 Compliance to support the development and modernization of solutions for a client using Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI). The designer will work on enhancing collaboration and efficiency of health communication, education, and business operations with the Client Offices. The role involves adhering to Agile methodologies, UI/UX best practices, and 508 compliance standards to ensure accessibility and usability for all users.

Duties and Responsibilities:Design, develop, and deploy new and enhanced Microsoft 365 SharePoint Online sites and Power Platform applications.Ensure all designs adhere to FDA's design guidelines and UI/UX best practices, with a strong emphasis on 508 Compliance for accessibility.Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that meet user needs and business requirements.Participate in Agile Sprints, including design sprints, backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and development teams to ensure user stories are clear, prioritized, and meet acceptance criteria.Utilize FDA's JIRA or similar task management tools for documenting requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, test activities, and defects.Conduct 508 Compliance Testing, ensuring all digital products meet accessibility standards.Perform unit testing, system testing, regression testing, and data validation testing to ensure the quality and functionality of deliverables.Document and log defects found during testing and collaborate with developers to resolve issues.Support project management activities by maintaining design documentation, contributing to status reports, and ensuring project milestones are met.Attend and contribute to project kickoff meetings, requirements gathering sessions, and stakeholder review meetings.Provide design input and feedback during the creation of the master project plan and schedule.Provide ongoing support for the maintenance, availability, and usability of existing OHCE SharePoint sites and Power Platform applications.Ensure compatibility of all upgrades and changes to the infrastructure with existing systems.Conduct continuous quality assurance to minimize defects and downtime.Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, User Experience, Information Technology, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in UI/UX design, with a focus on 508 Compliance.Proven experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Power Platform.Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working within Agile teams.Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, or similar.Deep knowledge of 508 Compliance standards and best practices.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Experience with JIRA or other Agile project management tools.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Experience in a healthcare or regulatory environment.Knowledge of FDA's Enterprise Performance Life Cycle (EPLC).Certifications in UX Design, Agile, or related fields.

Compensation and Benefits

The projected compensation range for this position is $115,000 to $135,000 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
