How you’ll have an impact at Paula’s Choice:

Our creative team is the visual driving force behind brand expression and customer experience. In this role you will collaborate with the global brand and creative teams to strategize and implement the in-store customer experience. The Global Visual Merchandising Manager is responsible for establishing the Vision of all aspects of Paula’s Choice Global retail and out-of-home experience & establishing guidelines on across-region.

As a Global Visual Merchandising Director, a typical day might include a mix of the following:

Lead and oversee creative strategy and development of the in-field customer experience on a Brand level.

Effectively Lead and Mentor an in-house Visual Merchandising team as well as external agency partners.

Lead and oversee all new Global Visual Merchandising initiatives and create Global Brand Guidelines.

Oversee & Direct global partners on all new and existing global VM via directives and fixture catalog.

Lead and Oversee the design development and execution of all new & existing merchandising fixtures and props for Paula’s Choice worldwide.

Collaborate with Wholesale, Brand, and International teams to ensure the Global Brands Vision and objectives are being met from a strategic and aesthetic perspective.

Lead external and internal teams to ensure all Global Paula’s Choice installations meet the established global guidelines.

Negotiate and manage outside vendors as needed.

Communicate the Global Merchandising objectives and strategy effectively in partnership with various internal departments (NA & Global Marketing. Wholesale, etc)

Approve and oversee market specific merchandising & store design, to finalizing execution.

Oversee and ensure VM team is updating global VM guidelines in a timely manner, is maintaining a data base of all final merchandising as well as archive all in-store execution photos.

Lead and approve all Design, development and execution for Global, Regional and in-Market Events.

Partner with Global Marketing & Education on establishing and creation of all Global Brand directives for instore retail events.

Regularly assess Visual Merchandising process; recommend and implement process improvements.

Monitor and work within budgetary restrictions on merchandising initiatives and display needs.

Other responsibilities as assigned by your manager.

The Details:

Location: We are based in Seattle, and although we are looking nationally, local candidates are preferred

Hours: Typical business hours

Physical requirements: Ability to sit for long periods and ability to manage long periods of screen time, ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Travel Requirements: Up to 40% travel both to home office & in-field

What you’ll bring to the table:

10+ years of experience in Visual Merchandising experience in a corporate environment

Experience in managing and mentoring junior Visual Merchandising associates

Stable work history

Formal graphic design or visual merchandising training

Excellent knowledge of Visual Merchandising programs

High proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, CS6, Illustrator, InDesign and other Adobe CC

Ability to effectively assess priorities and work well under tight deadlines

Exceptional time management and problem-solving skills

High attention to detail

Ability to take direction while collaborating with a wide variety of team members

Top notch verbal and written communication skills. Ability to gain a full understanding of the scope of each project and how to present and explain the design methodology as well as your ideas

A portfolio reflecting design and Visual Merchandising abilities, as well as your creativity and attention to quality and detail

Beauty experience preferred

BA in Graphic Design, Merchandising and/or related field

Experience in the cosmetics &/or skincare field

Approximate Salary Range Based on Experience and Location:

$115,000 - $125,000 USD/annually

Paula’s Choice Skincare determines the pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data. We evaluate external and internal equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. Our posted salary range is based on national data and may be refined for a candidate's region/town/cost of living.

For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget. This position is also eligible for participation in the company discretionary bonus plan.
