About this role:

This is an XD Lead Content Designer role for Consumer Digital Channels.

The Wells Fargo Experience Design (XD) team is seeking a Lead Content Designer to work on the Alerts & Messaging design team. Can you bring joy to outbound communications like email, text, and push? To excel in this role, you'll need to be an exceptional copywriter with strong content design and UX chops. You'll collaborate with other designers, product partners, and technical teams to deliver on our mission to build the best digital experience by delivering customer joy in the financial space.

In this role, you will:

Lead the creation of best-in-class digital customer experiences for our app and website

Apply a deep understanding of content design principles to develop and execute strategies that solve complex user and business challenges

Craft holistic flows and end-to-end experiences grounded in principles of user-centered design

Lead complex initiatives for web and app content design

Identify the modeling and all risk management including compliance with all federal and state laws for accessibility for all users

Review and analyze complex business and operational objectives

Complete work in accordance with all risk management, compliance and business process expectations

Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted situations requiring strong understanding of Content Design policies, procedures and/or compliance requirements that influence and lead broader work team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives

Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and leadership to resolve issues and achieve goals

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of Graphic or Website Design experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

Ability to write compelling copy for a complicated and highly personal space - financial institution experience is not required

Understanding of how to leverage research data to build solutions that balance the needs of our users with our business goals

Skilled in story-telling: sell ideas, create coalition, and build support through excellent presentation skills

An arbiter of best practices in grammar, messaging, writing, and style

Offers content design perspective throughout the product development process, influencing strategic decisions to improve the overall experience and ensure consistency

Job Expectations:

This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship

This position is a hybrid work model and will not be a telecommute position. Must be willing to work out of Charlotte, NC, New York, NY or San Francisco, CA approximately 3 days a week

Pay Range:

Charlotte, NC: $96,600 - $171,800

New York, NY: $115,900 - $206,100

San Francisco, CA: $115,900 - $206,100

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
