Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and innovative Acquisition Marketing Lead to join our team. This role reports directly to the Head of Growth Marketing and is pivotal in driving user acquisition and activation strategies across multiple channels. You will be responsible for SEO, conversion rate optimization, website management, and testing new marketing channels to expand our user base and enhance engagement.Key Responsibilities

SEO Management : Develop and execute SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and drive traffic to our website.Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) : Optimize conversion funnels from the marketing website into the product to increase lead generation and user sign-ups.Website Management : Oversee the management and optimization of the Descript website to ensure it is user-friendly, engaging, and optimized for conversions.Channel Testing : Identify and test new acquisition channels to find innovative ways to reach potential users.Cross-Channel Strategy : Develop and execute a comprehensive cross-channel acquisition strategy, including social media, paid advertising, and content marketing.Performance Analysis : Monitor and analyze the performance of acquisition campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.Collaboration : Work closely with the marketing, product, and sales teams to align acquisition strategies with overall business goals.Requirements

Experience : 7+ years of experience in acquisition marketing, with a strong background in SEO, CRO, and website management, preferably within the B2B and consumer SaaS industries.Technical Skills : Proficiency in using SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush), A/B testing platforms, and website management systems.Analytical Skills : Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions to optimize marketing efforts.Strategic Thinking : Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive acquisition and activation strategies.Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively.Creativity : Innovative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and develop unique marketing strategies.Team Collaboration : Strong team player who can work cross-functionally and manage multiple stakeholders.Adaptability : Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.Values : You actively invest in your personal growth and development, are driven by making an impact, and possess intellectual curiosity and honesty.Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with B2B SaaS companies such as Opus Clips, Notion,

Captions.ai ,

Veed.io , Camtasia, or Sythesia.Proficiency in SQLFamiliarity with content creation tools and platforms.Experience in managing large-scale acquisition campaigns.Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and best practices.The base salary range for this role is$155,000-$195,000.Final offer amounts will carefully consider multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise, and location, and they may vary from the amount above.About Descript
