Freelance Asst Technical Designer Better Apparel

Our client is looking to fill the role of Freelance Assistant Technical Designer. This role will be hybrid and based out of the New York office.Responsibilities:
Work closely with Design to provide accurate production specs based on fit and construction of the garment.Spec all samples that come in various productions stages and seasons.Communicate fit-comments with vendors. Illustrate the corrections if necessary.Prep fit sessions, take notes and pics of the garments during fitting.Assist in organizing and prioritizing workload to meet all deadlines.Organize samples by category and season. Keep work-area neat and tidy.Send samples to factories and warehouse under the direction of the Head of Dept.Required Qualifications:
Superior organizational and communication skills. Team oriented. Meticulous and detail oriented.Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.Ability to work independently.Strong knowledge of garment construction, pattern-making, silhouettes, sewing techniques, fabrication and trim. Familiarity with manufacturing processes.Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design or Pattern-making.1 - 2 years' experience in technical design of apparelHighly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), PLM, Adobe products.If you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.
