Responsible for leading and managing the Americas public relations and social media strategies to enhance and protect the organization's reputation. This role involves developing and executing comprehensive communication plans, managing media relations, overseeing social media channels, overseeing crisis communications and supporting CEO communications.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in public relations and social media, excellent communication skills and the ability to drive engagement across various platforms. This role will report to the Chief Communications Officer, Americas, and will not have any direct reports at this time.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Public Relations:Develop and implement strategic public relations plans to promote the company's image and brand.Select, manage and lead our external public relations agency.Establish and maintain relationships with key media outlets, journalists and industry influencers.Manage press releases, media inquiries and interview requests.Monitor media coverage and develop reports on public perception and media sentiment.Identify opportunities for positive media coverage and public engagement.Augment traditional public relations efforts with paid, social, and owned media at the right time for deeper impact.Social Media:

Develop and execute social media strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement.Manage the company's social media presence across all platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube).Create and curate high-quality content that aligns with the company's voice and objectives.Monitor social media trends, tools, and applications, and implement best practices.Analyze social media performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed.Crisis Communications:

Develop and implement crisis communication plans to manage and mitigate potential reputational risks effectively.Serve as the primary point of contact for media during crises.Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent and accurate messaging.Work with key stakeholders to respond rapidly to emerging issues and manage the flow of information.Prepare and train spokespersons for media interactions during crises.CEO Communications:

Support the development and management of communications for the CEO, including presentations and public statements.Ensure consistent messaging aligned with the company's strategic objectives.Support the CEO in media interactions, interviews and public appearances.Collaborate with the CEO to identify key messages and communication opportunities.Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.General:

Define, measure and report on key performance indicators that advance TK Elevator's overall business strategy.Collaborate with internal departments to ensure cohesive messaging across all channels.Collaborate with global communication partners to align with collaborative efforts.Prepare and present reports on communication activities and outcomes to senior management.Manage the external communications budget.Other responsibilities as assigned.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or a related field.Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in public relations, communications or a related field.Proven experience in managing social media channels for a large organization.Experience in crisis communication and reputation management.Strong media relations background and a track record in reaching and garnering attention from trade publications while building and deepening reporter relationships.Familiarity with executive-level speaking engagements in Atlanta is preferred.Past agency experience is preferred.An established network of media contacts in trades related to construction, commercial real estate, architecture, and engineering, as well as local Atlanta publications, is a plus.Experience supporting CEO communications is a plus.Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Mastery of AP Style is a plus.Strong ability to lead via influence.Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.Familiarity with developing and executing strategic communications planning.Proficiency in social media management tools, such as Sprout Social or Meltwater, and native platform analytics.Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.Strong project management and organizational skills.High level of creativity and attention to detail.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Strong understanding of digital media and emerging communication technologies.Commitment to upholding the company's values and ethics.
