Senior Communications/PR Manager

to join our team in Tampa, FL.

The ideal candidate must possess

a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in communication or marketing is required, preferably in the commercial real estate industry. Must possess a high-level of proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office Suite. Strong writing and editing skills, with experience in drafting press releases, articles, and other written materials for publication is required to be considered for this role.

Position Overview:

The

Sr. Communications Manager

will support the Corporate Marketing team with the management, development and implementation of marketing communications strategy and programs.

Develop and maintain relationships with key media outlets and journalists to secure media coverage for the company and each of the 7 business lines within Franklin StreetDevelop and implement a comprehensive external communications strategy that supports the company's overall goals and objectivesDevelop and implement tools, processes and resources required for internal communications program deliveryExperience managing external PR agencies when neededExperience managing employees in multiple marketsManage the company's social media accounts and create content for online channels by developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategyDraft and edit press releases, articles, and other written materials for publication and pitches press releases to the appropriate media to garner media pick-upsIdentifies and secures awards and recognition that will highlight franklin Street's brand and promote expanded business opportunitiesWrites bylined articles and arranges speaker opportunities in partnership with business experts to promote their lines of businessPlays an integral role in business-to-business content development including independent research, writing, and editingMonitor and analyze media coverage and industry trends to inform communications strategies and tacticsCollaborate with multiple business lines to ensure alignment of messaging and brandingManage the company's website and ensure it is up-to-date and engaging for visitorsManage the communications budget and allocate resources effectivelyRequirements

B.S./B.A. degree in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications, Marketing or related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in communications or marketing, preferably in the commercial real estate industryHigh level of proficiency in computer skills including MS Office applications (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, Power Point, Publisher, Adobe Photo Shop) and content management systems is required.Strong writing and editing skills, with experience in drafting press releases, articles, and other written materials for publicationExperience managing social media accounts and creating content for online channelsStrong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholdersKnowledge of industry trends and best practices in communications and marketingExperience managing a budget and allocating resources effectivelyExcellent attention to detailExcellent time-management skills and the ability to take direction but work independently with little supervision.Understanding of the news cycle and basic PR processesAbility to think critically, creatively, and innovativelySelf-starter that works well under pressure and responds proactively to changeMust be neat, organized and detail orientedExperiencing writing and pitching press releases requiredExperience working with website platforms such as Wordpress and Wix preferredExperience working with a media tracking program such as Cision, Meltwater, Mention, Hoote suite InsightsExperience working with digital newsletter programs, such as Constant Contact Mailchimp, and Hubspot
