SUMMARY

Director of Marketing Operations will manage the Marketing Services, Digital Marketing, Graphic Design, and Membership Development Teams. Duties will include leading the implementation and execution of EAA’s marketing strategies across various channels and markets, ensuring brand standards are met, program engagement increases, and the Spirit of Aviation continues to grow.

The ideal candidate will be both creative and well-versed in a wide variety of marketing areas, including digital, lifecycle, event, and direct. They will possess the expertise to build collaboration among internal and external clients, as well as monitor customer needs, evaluate effectiveness of strategies and develop recommendations that drive organizational growth. Detailed knowledge of current marketing trends, including SEO, funnel analytics, and community management is important.

Roles and Responsibilities

Leads and manages EAA’s marketing operations team and supporting logistics (what do you mean by logisticsOwns the marketing process, including strategy development, implementation and execution across channels to meet business objectives and key metricsCollaborates with internal teams to ensure marketing plans and tactics align with teams’ goals.Evaluates the effectiveness of marketing plans and measures performance of these plans against content and channel metrics.Manages deadlines to ensure all work is delivered in a timely manner.Ensures EAA’s brand standards through organization’s core messaging and visual identity.Serves as subject matter expert for current marketing trends, initiatives, and tactics.Supports AirVenture Oshkosh marketing and promotional efforts at a strategic and tactical level leading up to and throughout the event.Plans, tracks, and optimizes financial resources for marketing activities.All other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in Marketing, Communications, or other applicable fields.Minimum of 15 or more years’ experience in Marketing with a minimum of 5 years leading and managing a team,Experience successfully managing multiple competing projects.Ability to travel up to 5% of the timeExcellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Aviation background and knowledge of EAA and its activities.Experience successfully managing a passion-oriented brand.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Typical office setting. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Preparation for AirVenture or other events may require lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally, standing and walking for extended periods of time while bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, and push and pull motions.
