Your Mission:

To lead and manage the processes associated with all design and refurbishment projects for Sun Health's corporate offices and each of its residential communities, including, but not limited to, the turns of existing units, the creation of model units and staycation residences, assistance with design and administrative aspects of new construction, and general community/common areas. This position will handle Design Coordinator responsibilities for Grand View Terrace and includes the leadership of all Sun Health Communities Design Coordinators and, with regard to unit turns, the Facilities Coordinators. The Director of Design and Refurbishment will also be responsible for vetting and managing construction trades used in the unit turn process, ensuring the smooth and successful transition of new residents into the communities, striving to improve work quality and decrease the turnaround time of unit refurbishments, and strategizing on ways to improve efficiencies and reduce costs. The position reports to the VP of Sales and collaborates with the VP of Facilities.

Manages the Refurbishment Standards, including all fixtures, flooring, countertops, paint colors.Manages the design showroom displays and content.Manages the tools necessary for the Design and Facilities Coordinators to complete the design process, including: J2 Selections form, UTAAG, and Tear Sheets.Manages trades to support the unit turn construction process, including but not limited to, identifying new trades to add, establish (review) quality and trade requirements, negotiating pricing, working with legal to establish a master trade agreement, and monitoring quality levels and turnaround times.Creates a cost analysis of unit turns and repository of turn selections for each future unit.Supports community sales team by meeting with potential future residents to discuss units design potential.Supports Facilities Coordinators by holding trades accountable to negotiated expectations and sourcing needed products to update units and reduce long-term costs.Supports Design Coordinators in managing recommended standard combinations of flooring, countertops and paint.Works with Design Coordinators to create a cohesive strategy for model units and develop tracking of all model furniture and accessories.Manages all available open units in all Sun Health communities with Design Coordinators, including but not limited to tracking current state of the units, identifying minimum standard deficiencies, and creating a swift plan for updating.Creates and manages scaled dimension plans for each model in all communities for future resident use.Creates and manages floor plans by model for each community for use by Design Coordinators to request estimates and communicate to Facilities Coordinators for installation.Establishes escalation procedures to be used during the unit turn process.Attends weekly facilities/design/sales meetings providing updates on current and upcoming turns.Must possess excellent communication, organizational, customer service skills, be a good listener and be flexible to meet the demand of potential Residents.Possess effective problem-solving skills and strong desire to help those who have questions and problems.Must demonstrate excellent customer care and focus; ability to assess customers' needs and provide answers, path, troubleshooting, or method for a positive customer experience.Demonstrates the Sun Health Vibrant Living culture and provides all customers/audience with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating Sun Health behaviors (the 6 Cs) every day.Your Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, required, MBA. Preferred.Experience working in the senior population. Preferred.Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and OutlookProficiency using REVIT AutoDesk 3D Design SoftwareProficiency with Zoom, TEAMS, and other online communication technology platforms.Proven experience demonstrated with at least 1 years of experience in the details, process and project management of remodel construction and design.Proven experience demonstrated with at least 1 year experience in negotiations with construction trades.Reliable transportation required.Team Member Benefits:
