Overview
The Enterprise Director of Marketing is responsible for managing all areas of overall marketing including programming, partnerships, activations, public relations, digital marketing and websites, social media and brand/collateral identity for four of lifestyle hotels. This position will support The Kimpton Sylvan (Atlanta), The Westin St Louis (St Louis, MO), Hotel Colonnade, Autograph Collection (Coral Gables, FL) and Westin San Antonio Riverwalk (San Antonio, TX). This positon is remote.
Responsibilities
Programming, Partnerships & Activations
Develop, manage, and execute a wide array of innovative and brand-differentiating programming within the portfolio.
Develop local and national partnerships that align with each hotel's brand positioning
Create a robust programming calendar with weekly, monthly, and annual activations
Create a marketing campaign for each activation, including but not limited to social media, email marketing, website/digital campaigns, digital listings, and PR Outreach
Coordinate with operations & reservations teams to build packages and source add-ons
Create, foster and maintain positive relationships with local business partners, sponsors, talent, vendors, brands tastemakers and cultural institutions for collaborative event opportunities
Manage large-scale events and work in tandem with operations team on these events - from planning phase to management of events on-site - including but not limited to New Year's Eve, Halloween, various F&B events throughout the year.
Be the driving force behind all aspects of the in-house guest experience as it relates to, but not limited to, entertainment, activations, and guest programming.
Develop impactful sponsorship marketing opportunities and activation executions that are aligned with the brand.
Partner with central marketing teams to develop creative materials required for on-property activations.
Attend and coordinate photographers for high-profile events on-site at supported hotels
Public Relations & Social Media
Oversee Public Relations and Social Media agencies as applicable for portfolio
Coordinate Press Release, fact sheet and pitch approval and distribution
Field media inquiries and conduct on-site media tours and experiences
Create press kits for visiting media and develop targeted media amenities
Build strategic partnerships (link building campaign)
Communicate presence of in-house media to hotel teams
Supervise on-site video/photo shoots
Participate in weekly PR calls/meetings
Save all incoming clips and maintain clip books
Work with CVB to develop relevant PR leads
Oversee all external and internal media and influencer partners and relationships.
Work closely with each hotel and provide strategic PR and marketing guidance to the hotel team
Website Development & Advertising
Develop and advertise promotions on each hotel's websites
Work with HEI VP of Marketing to develop SEO and digital strategy.
Responsible for ongoing maintenance and monitoring of hotel websites and third party websites
Responsible for managing hotel's Social Media pages
Oversee all on-property visual assets, including budget, strategy, development, and arrangement of photo and video shoots.
Manage creative process and provide strategic direction for all marketing related areas including but not limited to social media, branding, signage, websites, digital & print advertising, hotel signage & collateral, and email campaigns.
Create and implement advertising calendar
Maintain advertising insertion orders/P.O.s
Provide art direction and responsible for all advertising and marketing campaigns
Coordinate email blasts for each hotel to extend promotional reach
Accommodate field advertising requests
Coordinate all outgoing ads (both web and print)
Hotel Responsibilities
Coordinate ongoing marketing calls with key on-property staff not limited to: GM, Dir of Ops, Exec Chef, F&B Manager, Dir of Sales, etc.
Communicate PR/marketing initiatives to key members of hotel staff
Provide support to hotel team members as needed
Performs any other job related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or relevant field is required.
3+ years of past public relations/marketing experience.
Essential prior experience in the field of hospitality
Ability to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the Hotel.
Ability to travel to hotels as needed.
Ability to multitask.
Ability to leverage Brand and enterprise processes and systems to support compliance, identify trends and support execution of strategies.
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office, Excel, PowerPoint, InDesign, Photoshop
Strong analytical skills, ability to identify relevant data and leverage to positively impact hotel revenues.
Ability to effectively communicate and influence key leaders in the organization.
Working conditions
This position will be remote and be required to travel as needed based on hotel demands.
