In addition, the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work with secondary & elementary level children. Emphasis will be placed on experience with string (orchestra) instruction. Candidates must be certified in K-12 Music Education and have extensive experience and skills working in a variety of orchestral and classroom settings. The successful candidate will provide direct instruction in small group lessons including violin, viola, cello, and string bass along with large ensemble (orchestra) rehearsals at both levels. The candidate may be required to teach general music. The successful candidate must also be able to instruct students in grade level music skills based upon the New York State learning standards. The teacher employed in this position will direct instruction, prepare class materials, evaluate student progress, communicate with parents and other district employees, write and direct learning activities, and provide other supervision and instructional services normally associated with the position of teacher.Contact Person's Name Daniel W.
