**Overview**Under the direct supervision of the Branch Field Service Manager, the Visual Solutions Technician is responsible for supporting the implementation, maintenance, and repair of commercial Pro AV solutions at a Sharp Business Systems branch. This includes Sharp interactive displays, commercial monitors, digital signage, and video walls. The technician ensures successful Pro AV project outcomes by conducting pre and post-installation assessments, providing technical support, and maintaining high customer satisfaction through effective communication and equipment maintenance. This role also involves mentoring entry-level technicians and resolving complex service issues using advanced troubleshooting techniques.**Responsibilities**+ Independently service and maintain a full territory of Sharp equipment, including installation, maintenance, and repair of Pro AV solutions.+ Collaborate with SBS sales staff to support the development of leads and ensure technical requirements are met.+ Conduct technical demonstrations and provide training for clients and SBS staff as needed.+ Participate in SBS prospect events, technical presentations, vendor partner “Lunch and Learn” presentations, and account review processes.+ Manage and coordinate Pro AV projects to ensure timely installation, adherence to scope, budget, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.+ Provide expert troubleshooting and product knowledge, recommending solutions based on experience and technical documentation.+ Actively resolve customer relations situations and communicate any unusual issues to higher-level management.+ Guide and mentor entry-level technicians, providing assistance with special or large accounts.+ Maintain parts inventory and offer strategies for achieving exemplary levels of inventory control and usage.+ Complete all required administrative functions accurately and timely.+ Cooperate with fellow workers and management to achieve branch service goals.+ Keep the Group Leader or Branch Field Service Manager informed of machines performing below standards and provide resolutions where possible.+ Perform other duties as prescribed by the Branch Field Service Manager.**Qualifications**+ 6 or more years of experience in copier repair or repair and maintenance of electronic equipment.+ College degree or Technical vocational schooling preferred (electronics or electro-mechanical).+ Must possess CompTIA A+ and Net+ certification.+ Basic background and knowledge of Pro AV products and solutions required.+ Ability to work independently, be self-directed, and interact professionally with clients, fellow employees, and vendors.+ Technical experience preferred, with a strong aptitude for problem-solving and technical troubleshooting.+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.+ Must be computer literate (MS Office suite), understand technical reporting, and be familiar with maintaining a technical support database.+ Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office software products preferred.+ Valid Driver's License and Automobile insurance within company guidelines.+ Must be able to travel locally, including driving 2+ hours on occasion to remote SBS branches or client sites.+ The role requires 50% fieldwork (client visits, site surveys, technical calls) and 50% office work (technical documentation, training, rep engagement, client visits, and demos).**ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**+ Must be able to travel locally daily to various customer sites.+ Requires frequent kneeling and bending and considerable use of hands and tools. Walking great lengths at a time.+ Frequently requires moving or lifting of up to 50 pounds and able to lift 75 on occasion.+ Exposure to live electrical circuits.+ Exposure to extreme environmental conditions. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location.
