Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.The RoleWe’re building a brand new Live Product Discovery & Promotion team that is responsible for seamlessly managing and launching Live events on-service. You will be responsible for building a team of event program managers/producers, creative strategists, writers, designers, editors, ratings and metadata analysts, and title merchandisers. You should be comfortable in “start-up” mode and building high-profile 0-1 teams in new, emerging areas for the business. You will interface daily with executive leadership, and cross-functional experts across Product Management, Experience Design, Marketing, Engineering Operations, and others.This role can be based in a hybrid model in our Los Angeles or Los Gatos office. This role can also be based remote in the US. Some travel will be required to our LA or Los Gatos offices if remote based.You will:+ Be accountable for building and maintaining a high-performing Live team by establishing clear roles & responsibilities, high-quality output, and strong partnerships in a new space.+ Set the proactive vision for the team, and define annual objectives, key results, and roadmaps.+ Be accountable for your team achieving key results and setting up the appropriate recurring review processes to ensure your team is on track. You will ensure obstacles to launching key projects are addressed.+ Manage day-to-day partnerships across the business, creating and facilitating alignment. You will traverse with senior leadership across the business and must fluidly communicate between organizations. You are expected to regularly manage up and across by sharing weekly summaries on key initiatives & outputs.+ Review the set-up and deliverables for all Live title launches - ensuring your team is delivering on par with expectations.+ Proactively identifying and establishing scaled workflows and articulating new requirements/needs that will increase the efficiency of your organization.+ Be responsible for being available during all Live streams - ensuring that you can support your team in troubleshooting any issues.+ Be responsible for your team's development and growth.+ Be willing to roll up your sleeves and lead and execute on key projects.Qualifications:+ 10+ years of experience in building and maintaining teams to support Live streaming or broadcast - ideally across design, operations (program management or project management), and merchandising.+ Deep understanding of consumer behaviors and discovery habits with Live, understands how those intersect with the service+ Must have experience directly managing a team of 10++ Ideally have experience in developing and running Live promotion within a digital product+ Experience in Live title performance management a plus+ Strategic, analytical thinker with a strong customer-focused mindset and empathy+ Excellent written (memos and presentations) and verbal communication skills; timely communication+ Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and drive alignment amid ambiguity+ Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and effectively influence and contribute with concrete recommendations/next steps, across both regional and global teams+ Comfortable applying a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods to define success+ Insatiable curiosity to learn new domains, keep up with industry innovation, and constantly ask ‘why’Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $320,000 - $800,000.Netflix provides comprehensive benefits including Health Plans, Mental Health support, a 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer match, Stock Option Program, Disability Programs, Health Savings and Flexible Spending Accounts, Family-forming benefits, and Life and Serious Injury Benefits. We also offer paid leave of absence programs. Full-time hourly employees accrue 35 days annually for paid time off to be used for vacation, holidays, and sick paid time off.
