Experience in information management preferred.Skills Qualifications: Ability to communicate with others in an effective and tactful manner; attention to detail, strong budgeting or bookkeeping background, ability to exercise independent judgment, troubleshoot, and solve problems; ability to follow oral and written instructions quickly and accurately; ability to work well with school personnel; ability to detect and correct errors in standard English language usage; ability to type and perform clerical duties with a high rate of speed and accuracy; proficient in office productivity software such as the Microsoft Office Suite; willingness to learn new software applications; strong editing, formatting, graphics, and proofreading skills; ability to work as part of a team; flexibility and adaptability to change; and ability to represent Gwinnett County Public Schools in a positive and professional manner.Primary Responsibilities: Assist in the organization and coordination of all aspects of the Enterprise Infrastructure & Network Services. Provide support for the director of the department.1. Perform general clerical duties for the Enterprise Infrastructure & Network Services department.a. Assist with accurate financial/accounting records for budget as assigned.b. Assist with work orders and/or purchase orders as assigned.c. Type various forms, reports, memos, and letters in a timely manner as assigned.d. Transcribe various reports, forms, memos, and letters from manuscripts as assigned.e. File various correspondence, reports, forms, and publications in an accurate and orderly fashion.f. Operate routine office machinery including, but not limited to, scanners, photocopiers, computers, and other technological equipment. g. Assist in compiling and preparing data for budgets, staff meetings and conferences.h. Maintain adequate supplies in the department's supply cabinets.i. Requisition supplies as authorized through established procedures.j. Schedule, cancel, and reschedule meetings, conferences, and appointments as directed.k. Reserve building or online conference rooms as directed.l. Maintain ledgers, complete and process regular and overnight travel vouchers, and assist in the arrangement of travel plans.m. Process all purchase card transactions and bank statements.n. Schedule candidates for job interviews.o. Assist with new hire onboarding.p. Prepare staff evaluation materials for directors and coordinators.q. Participate as part of the administrative assistants team by providing backup as needed.2. Communicate in a businesslike, courteous, and efficient manner.a. Cooperate with and maintain a positive relationship with other employees of the offices to which assigned.b. Cooperate with and maintain a positive relationship with all other school system employees.c. Cooperate with and maintain a positive relationship with members of the community and with members of other organizations.d. Provide exemplary customer service to all contacts.3. Maintain familiarity and a general working knowledge of departmental functions and responsibilities.a. Assist in receiving assets and tracking them against purchase orders.b. Assist in receiving and tracking software and license purchases.c. Establish and maintain a general knowledge of district policies and procedures.d. Review, as necessary, materials produced to help ensure accuracy, timeliness, and conformity to system standards.e. Demonstrate willingness to learn new technologies as needed in the departments.4. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is also required to talk, hear, stand, and walk. The employee may be required to use hands to touch, handle, feel, and/or reach.
