Library Database Coordinator JobID: 13242+ Position Type:Short Term Contract-Non-teaching/ STC-NT+ Date Posted:8/14/2024+ Location:ELSCLibrary Database CoordinatorSummary:Provides support to the district’s teacher librarians and media secretaries in the management of the school library database.Endorsements:School Teacher Librarian K-8, 5-12, or K-12Requirements:+ Must have a minimum of 5 years working as a librarian+ A minimum of 1 year of CRCSD librarian experience.Duties:+ Assigns new media specialists usernames and passwords+ Instructs new media specialists on how to use the school library database+ Attends online vendor training on updates to school library database and then provides instruction to media specialists and media secretaries on the updates+ Establishes a cataloging standard for the school library database and instructs media specialists on the standard+ Coordinates with the Library Content Lead on interlibrary loan policies and procedures+ Assists content lead and Executive Director of Digital Literacy and Information Technology on running reports from school library database+ Works with IT department on the integration of patrons from student information system to school library database+ Works with Curriculum and Instruction Department on maintaining curriculum resources within school library database+ Works with Executive Director of Digital Literacy and Information Technology to evaluate yearly license for school library database and ensure the fee is paid on timeTerm: 12 month, short-term contractCompensation: $2,000 stipend
