The **Material Expeditor** compiles and maintains material and parts inventory and status information to expedite movement of material and parts between production areas. Provides up-to-date status on materials ordered.**Accountability**+ Perform all work-related actions as directed by management.+ Follow instructions by work center shift lead, or above.+ Ensure safety, security and preservation of government and company owned equipment.+ Address/approach customer in courteous and professional manner.+ Address/approach co-workers in a courteous and professional manner.+ Maintain work center in a clean and orderly fashion.+ Meet government and company license and/or qualification requirement(s).+ Complete and comply with On the Job Training (OJT), Foreign Object Damage (FOD), Hazardous Waste (HW), Tool Control Program (TCP) and Egress Familiarization, Program and all safety regulations by site, city, state and federal.+ Analyze all AOG/NMCS data for coordination of requisition and vendor, expediting of parts and materials.+ Maintain data and reports of critical spares (in-route or in repair).+ Research material provisional problems and provides resolution recommendations to supply.+ Expedite proper distribution of parts and material to work center(s).+ Expedite requisition status and expedition of material in coordination with government and supply department.+ Ensure work center(s) comply with requisition policies in accord with government property control manual.+ Provide technical assistance, guidance, and instruction as required.+ Perform receiving inspections.+ Process non-conforming material.**Education and Experience**+ High school diploma or GED required+ Three (3) years minimum experience of general material control, requisition and analytical experience.+ Valid driver’s license, required.+ Analytical skills to comply with detailed administrative procedures.+ Mathematical skills with a comprehensive knowledge of aircraft parts, tools, and equipment.+ Communication skills to deal courteously and effectively with vendors and government/military personnel.+ Read, write, and utilize instructions, technical manuals and/or directives as necessary.**Physical Requirements and Work Environment**+ Office environment within a warehouse.+ Sitting (70%) of the workday.+ Occasionally lift or pull up to thirty (30) pounds.+ Exposure to noise hazard.+ May be required to handle hazardous material as per safety data sheets (SDS).+ Obtain and maintain collateral duty inspector (CDI) certification, may be required.**Travel**+ May require occasional travel.Amentum is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
