The program seeks candidates with teaching expertise in areas such as Mass Media and Society, Media Criticism and Theory, Media Writing, and Critical Media Literacy.Position Requirements and Preferences:+ The minimum educational credential required for the applicant is a master’s degree in Communication, or a related field, with an emphasis on media criticism and media literacy.+ Candidates with a doctoral degree in Mass Communication or Communication with a focus on media literacy and criticism are preferred.+ A candidate with only a master’s degree will be hired at the rank of lecturer. A candidate with a doctoral degree will be hired at the rank of Assistant Teaching professor. The degree must be completed by the time of application.+ Full-time faculty normally teach four courses per semester. The successful candidate will have college teaching experience and a commitment to university service and public outreach.
