Applicants must submit a cover letter, a current resume or CV, and a list of references (minimum of three).This position is located on the Gulf Park Campus in Long Beach, Mississippi.Job SummaryThe School of Leadership at The University of Southern Mississippi invites applications for a full-time Coordinator of Visualization and Digital Multimedia Outreach (ViDMO). This grant-funded position supports multimedia content creation designed to engage audiences, raise awareness, and drive outreach efforts for the Blue Economy, Coastal Resilience and Coastal Sustainability. This position will play a crucial role in supporting our operations by managing office functions, overseeing equipment inventory and reservations, coordinating media projects, overseeing social media platforms, and facilitating our film festival and other events. A collaborative spirit, attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask will be essential in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.Primary Duties and Responsibilities+ Manages $2.4M budget, including making purchases, reconciling expenses, creating reports, and making recommendations on use of funds.+ Coordinates ViDMO projects, timelines, and budgets to ensure grant deliverables are being met.+ Manages inventory of office and media equipment and supplies, including the process for rental reservations, check-outs, and check-ins; ensures adequate stock levels and initiates repairs and replacement.+ Manages day-to-day office operations by handling correspondence, managing calendars, scheduling appointments, organizing meetings, and ensuring paperwork for vendors and subcontractors is complete and consistent with University standards.+ Assists with organizing ViDMO events, including logistics, catering arrangements, and attendee management.+ Develops and executes comprehensive social media strategies to achieve marketing goals.+ Other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business, education, film, communications, or related field and 2 years of related experience in budgeting, process adherence, maintenance, and improvement; OR associate’s degree from an accredited college or university and 4 years of directly relevant experience in budgeting, process adherence, maintenance, and improvement.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities+ Adept in office systems and technology+ Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to communicate with a diverse group of individuals+ Excellent organization and time management skills+ Resourceful and determined to provide a positive experience for others+ Detail oriented+ Ability to maintain and perform basic budgetary functions+ Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing+ Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare and edit reports+ Ability to anticipate needs+ Ability to maintain cooperative relationships with colleagues+ Ability to exercise discretion, confidentiality, and judgment in dealing with sensitive issuesPreferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and five years of directly related experience, including three years working in a university setting, two years budgeting experience, and two years’ grant experience.About The University of Southern MississippiSince our founding in 1910, The University of Southern Mississippi has remained dedicated to preparing students for success.
