The Opportunity:

Washington State University (WSU) Global Campus is seeking a Marking and Communications Director who embodies teamwork, innovation, and a commitment to creating communication strategies that support the unique aspect of online learners and the teams that support them. This newly established position will play a critical role in developing and executing marketing strategies to drive increased enrollment, engage alumni, inform staff/faculty, promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within our organization, and enhance brand presence of a campus that has been dedicated to online and distance delivered education for over 30 years. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing management, a creative mindset, and the ability to lead a diverse team.

As the Marketing and Communications Director, you will provide strategic leadership and direction across the WSU Global Campus system related to marketing, communication, and reputation building. In this role, you will develop and implement initiatives related to digital marketing, website enhancements and maintenance, public relations, evaluation of campaign effectiveness, and cohesiveness of communication across all areas of Global Campus student, faculty, and alumni support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement short and long-term integrated marketing strategies that are aligned to support the https://online.wsu.edu/wsu-global-campus-2024-2029-strategic-plan/.

• Facilitate sustainable and effective collaboration with departments across campus to help them build high-quality, targeted, affordable, and on-brand efforts to reach their specific needs within the WSU Global Campus overall marketing strategy.

• Manage the WSU Global Campus public image and community relations, and provide policy, inclusivity, and equity guidance and support across the campus to others participating in outreach activities.

• Direct the development and stewardship of the WSU Global Campus website, digital assets, and media across various platforms.

• Establish key performance indicators including return on investment, and use analytic tools to track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives.

This is a remote position with the successful candidate performing all work at an alternative location.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in communication, journalism, public relations, marketing, or other relevant field and six (6) years of progressively responsible professional level experience in public relations, marketing, print or broadcast media, or public relations, which has included at least three (3) years of managerial experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. A Master's degree in a related field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience.

• Brand Management: Experience with
