Designer II - Solar Ground Mount Racking Systems !
Primary Responsibilities (Essential Duties)• Use engineering principles, computer-assisted design software (CAD), and equipment to prepare designdocuments to be used for permitting, fabrication, installation drawings and manuals, and technical guidance.• Assist sales department with client requests by preparing drawings from rough sketches or from generalengineering and design information.• Prepare internally reviewed letters to customers and designers for such things as information requests, technicalguidance, transmittal comments or questions, bills of material, and similar requests.• Calculate cost and determine feasibility of projects based on analysis of collected data, applying knowledge andtechniques of engineering, and advanced mathematics.• Determine material, tooling, fabrication, handling, and construction costs for existing and new products.• Generate associated bills of material for manufacturing utilizing Microsoft Excel.• Review fellow designer's drawings and bill of material lists for accuracy.

Education / Experience (an equivalent combination of education and/or experience)Vocational Certificate in CAD, Autodesk, Adobe, or equivalent2+ Years of Experience in Civil or Construction Design or Drafting1+ Years of Experience in Estimating or Construction Management
Technical Skills
Microsoft Office Suite, Windows, Google Earth, CADKnowledge of construction technology.Renewable Energy industry experience.Understand the design process of parametric assemblies in Autodesk Inventor.Familiarity with project and department budget process and tools.Work Condition
