Basic Function:

Design (computer aided), plan, and coordinate activities involved in the application and fabrication of a range of industry products.

Responsibilities:

Adherence to Safety and Policies:The candidate must follow safety and environmental regulations, as well as company policies.Software Proficiency:Basic knowledge of Excel and Word.Ability to use SAP is preferred, other MRP systems is a plus.Familiarity with Inventor, AutoCAD, and Vault for design and drawing purposes. Other acceptable software includes, SolidWorks and Creo.Design and Revision:Ability to revise and improve existing products, focusing on enhancements and cost reductions.Participate in design improvements and cost-saving initiatives, working with different departments as needed.Manufacturing Involvement:Engage with manufacturing employees on the shop floor to address and understand production concerns.Ensure designs are practical and manufacturable.Drawing and Documentation:Translate sketches and concepts into detailed drawings, layouts, and assembly/part diagrams.Review and ensure that drawings comply with organizational and industry standards.Create or modify flat pattern files.Communication and Collaboration:Effectively communicate with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure the smooth progress of design projects.Professional Experience:1-3 years of experience is generally required.Required Skills:

Understanding of company standards and the ability to ensure designs meet these criteria.Competency in using drawing management systems is a plus.Ability to develop designs from concepts under supervision.Translate engineer and customer sketches into practical designs.Background in mechanical or industrial design.Proficient in relevant software tools (Excel, Word, SAP, Inventor, AutoCAD, Vault).Experience working on the shop floor or with manufacturing teams.Strong communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.Benefits:
