Friday, Mar 21, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time)Applications will continue to be accepted until this date, but those received after the review date will only be considered if the position has not yet been filled.Position Description The Department of Film & Media at UC Berkeley invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary instructors to teach undergraduate-level studio courses in creative film and/or digital media production. Course themes could include areas in documentary/essay, dramatic fiction, animation, experimental, or other expanded digital media practices. Technique-centered courses in cinematography, sound design, and post-production are also considered. Studio course design should integrate theoretical and critical approaches to media study into hands-on production techniques and forms. Applicants should demonstrate creative and technical expertise, but also a strong commitment to teaching media production within a liberal and fine arts curriculum at a large, diverse, public research university.General Duties:

In addition to teaching responsibilities and demonstration of production technologies, general duties include holding office hours, assigning grades, advising students, preparing course materials (e.g., syllabus), and interacting with students outside of class time via email and campus web-based course resources.Qualifications
