We are seeking a versatile design operations supervisor to join our Experience Design team.This position requires skills in problem-solving, operations, communications, budgeting and inclusive community-building. In this hands-on role, you’ll play a critical part in amplifying design’s impact as you proactively seek new ways to optimize process and continuously improve the designer experience at McDonald’s. The design operations supervisor will also assist Experience Design Leadership in executing special projects and contribute to strategy. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in User Experience and committed to creating an accessible experience on the team.ResponsibilitiesYour attention to detail is world-class, your communication skills impeccable, and you love solving a variety of challenges. You are always looking for opportunities to improve the way things work. In this role you will:Establish and maintain highly efficient operational procedures and processes that are simple, clear and accessible.Actively drive planning activities like annual budget cycles and bring a highly-detailed mind for finance.Lead the creation of org communications, in collaboration with Design Leadership.Help build culture and community on the design team.Manage tools and licensing.Assist in cross-functional collaboration.Take on special projects as needed.Qualifications2+ years of experience in user-centered experience design teams.Experience in finance or accounting.Familiar with common design tools, such as Figma, dScout, etc.Bachelor's degree in communication, design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.Preferred qualificationsPortfolio demonstrating creative design thinking with an understanding of Human Centered Design.Design thinker who looks holistically for solutions that span the entire customer journey.Familiarity with technical considerations needed across various platforms being designed for.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Passionate about learning new and emerging design trends.Comfortable moving between detail-oriented and big-picture thinking.Good listener who can build trust with others and enable clear communication.Strong in written and verbal communication and able to document and share processes and activities in an engaging way.
