The candidate will manage a significant portfolio of commercial agreements, draft and negotiate complex agreements with our customers, partners, and data providers, anticipate and protect the company against risk exposure, advise stakeholders on the status of agreement negotiations, and exhibit a willingness to learn. This environment gives our people the opportunity to hone current skills and build new capabilities, while discovering their genius.What You'll BringJuris Doctorate (JD) degree required and 4+ (likely 4-6) years of experience, with at least 4 years’ experience as a practicing attorney (strong preference to in-house) focused on negotiating complex contracts.Ability to build and foster strong relationships with, and relate well to, peers, staff, and management of all levels of the organization.Ability to work independently yet exhibit sound judgment in seeking guidance and direction from senior attorneys and escalating issues.Proficiency with generally used programs such as Microsoft Office (Word; Excel; PowerPoint).This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.Preferred SkillsExperience advising clients with regard to and negotiating data and technology licensing agreements.
