Interested in learning more about this job Scroll down and find out what skills, experience and educational qualifications are needed.Summary:As a Broadcast Director, you will be at the forefront of advancing the field of immersive production, orchestrating the presentation of live sporting and entertainment events broadcasted to our Cosm Venues. Leveraging your expertise in broadcast technology and live production workflows, you will ensure seamless execution and delivery of high-quality content that captivates audiences worldwide.Responsibilities:Lead camera switching during live broadcasts to create the best experience for our audience in our domes.Collaborate closely with producers and engineers to develop and implement technical strategies that enhance the overall production quality.Ensure proper functionality and readiness for live productions.Follow the broadcast run of the show to ensure all sponsor obligations are met and major moments are covered.Stay up to date with the latest advancements in broadcast technology and recommend equipment upgrades or enhancements as needed.Participate in pre-production meetings to review technical requirements and develop production plans accordingly.Create best practices and documentation for this role, allowing for the training and onboarding of additional operators.Requirements:Proven experience working as a technical director in a broadcast environment, with a strong understanding of live production workflows and equipment.Proficiency with broadcast control systems, video switchers, audio consoles, and other technical equipment commonly used in live broadcasting.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure in fast-paced live production environments.Genuine passion for and knowledge of a variety of sports and entertainment content.Exceptional presentation, communication, and written skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels and departments.Join us at Cosm and be part of a team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of immersive experiences in global events.The annualized base salary range for this position in California is $70,000 to $98,000.
