1.0 FTE, This is a full-time, 100% remote position, scheduled to work Monday through Friday, with core hours between the hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM plus an on-call rotation. Applicants hired into this position can work remotely from most states. This will be discussed during the interview process

We are seeking a

Sr. UX Designer

to: Oversee the UX function for all UW Health consumer-facing digital properties, ensuring consistency and optimized user experiences for patients, providers, and internal clients. This includes leading the development of design standards and aligning digital materials with graphic standards for related offline materials.Take full ownership of the design system, responsible for designing and maintaining a comprehensive set of design templates, style guides, and component libraries. Ensure these systems promote a cohesive user experience and streamlined design process across UW Health's digital products and platforms.Work closely with web editors, information architects, technical developers, and other members of the Digital Experience team and Marketing department to create engaging, attractive designs with intuitive interfaces that support intended functionality and user behaviors.Deliver wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mock-ups to communicate concepts and assist content editors and developers in creating specific user experiences and interfaces. Utilize user-testing insights, competitive benchmarking, and research to inform design decisions.Lead or participate in front-end development planning, user experience strategy, and project management for existing and new applications. Provide HTML/CSS direction to developers, particularly in translating graphic mock-ups to fully responsive websites, and support multimedia application development for websites.At UW Health, you will have

Minimum -

Bachelor's Degree in User Experience, Graphic Design, Art Direction, Visual Communications, or related field.Four (4) years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree in addition to the required experience belowPreferred - Master's Degree in User Experience Design, Graphic Design, Art Direction, Visual Communications, or related field

Work Experience:

Minimum - 5 years experience as a UX designer and/or UX Developer with demonstration of progressive responsibility

Demonstrated success leading a talented, diverse, inclusive team of UX designers that consistently delivers on projects and is well-balanced across a range of design skill setsDemonstrated success building a culture of design excellenceDemonstrated success leading and overseeing the user experience of a product from conception to launch in partnership with product managers, engineers, UX researchers and content designersDemonstrated success taking broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into useful and valuable experiences for our consumersDemonstrated success designing end-to-end flows and experiences that are simple and elegant for our supported platformsDemonstrated success defining, crafting, and evolving designs within visual systems and/or standard
