Newell Brands is seeking a skilled and creative Technical Illustrator with 3-4 years of experience to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing detailed and accurate technical illustrations that visually communicate complex technical information. You will collaborate closely with engineering, design, and marketing teams to create high-quality visuals for technical documentation, user manuals, installation guides, and other materials. The ideal candidate will have strong artistic abilities, proficiency in industry-standard illustration and CAD software, and a keen eye for detail. You will also play a key role in maintaining brand consistency and quality standards across all illustrations. Key Responsibilities

Creation of Technical Illustrations

• Develop detailed and accurate technical drawings, diagrams, schematics, and 3D renderings to support engineering and manufacturing processes.

• Translate complex technical information into clear, visually engaging illustrations.

• Collaboration with Engineering and Design Teams: Work closely with engineers, designers, and product managers to understand technical concepts and requirements.

• Participate in project meetings to gather information and feedback for illustrations.

Documentation and Manuals

• Create illustrations for technical documentation, user manuals, installation guides, and maintenance instructions.

• Ensure all illustrations comply with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Review and Quality Assurance

• Review and revise illustrations based on feedback from technical teams.

• Ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in all technical illustrations.

Tool and Software Proficiency

• Use industry-standard illustration and CAD software such as Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Iso Draw, Abortext, and other 3D modeling tools.

• Stay updated with the latest software and technology advancements relevant to technical illustration.

Management of Digital Assets

• Organize and maintain a library of technical illustrations and related assets.

• Implement version control practices to manage updates and revisions.

Adherence to Brand and Style Guidelines

• Ensure all illustrations adhere to company branding and style guidelines.

• Maintain consistency in visual representation across all technical documentation.

Key Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Technical Illustration, Industrial Design, Engineering, or a related field.

• 3-4 years of experience in technical illustration or a related role.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in industry-standard illustration software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and CAD software like AutoCAD or SolidWorks.

• Experience with 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks, Blender, or other relevant tools.

• Strong understanding of technical drawing standards and practices.

• Ability to create accurate and detailed technical illustrations, diagrams, and schematics.

Creative Skills

• Strong artistic and design skills with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear and engaging visuals.

• Proficiency in hand-drawing and digital illustration techniques.

• Ability to apply isometric and perspective techniques in illustrations.

Project Management

• Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.

• Ability to define and work within budget and time limitations.

Collaboration and Communication

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, designers, product managers, and marketers.

• Ability to gather and interpret client specifications and feedback for illustration projects.

Additional Qualifications

• Portfolio demonstrating a range of technical illustrations and design projects.

• Familiarity with creating illustrations for various mediums, including print and digital formats.

• Assist with technical writing and documentation processes as needed.
