DescriptionThe open source technical program manager works closely with open source project communities, engineering teams, and product management. As a member of the Open Source Strategy & Marketing (OSSM) team you will be responsible for making key open source AI/ML efforts successful by working with cross-functional teams. In addition, a technical program manager will own communicating progress to a cross organizational executive audience representing stakeholders across AWS.AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. We use our deep experience to help AWS effectively and authentically engage with open source communities, partners, and stakeholders.Our mission is to help AWS deliver on two, tightly linked objectives: 1) to significantly increase the scope and value of our open source involvement and 2) to help customers and communities learn about our involvement and understand why it matters.Basic Qualifications- 3+ years of technical product or program management experience- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent- Experience with AI/ML and/or data science tools, platforms, and pipelinesPreferred Qualifications- 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience- 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience- 3+ years of scripting, building automation, and/or establishing dashboards, a history of contribution to open source communities, and/or experience building machine learning modelsAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $197,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
