Visit us at www.accenture.com .The Tax Accounting function is organized along the lines of geographic responsibilities and process responsibilities. A team of tax accounting experts report to the Managing Director – Global Tax Accounting. This team includes members who focus on geography-specific issues and those who manage global processes that support Accenture worldwide. The geographic roles work with local finance and tax groups to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting of income tax accounts. The global process roles work alongside the geography-focused team members to manage the global tax accounting processes for the consolidation of global results for U.S. GAAP and management reporting purposes.Brief Description of Duties:Responsible for managing all aspects of income tax accounting and forecasting at the tax reporting group level for US and Canadian entity operations with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:+ Serve as U.S. GAAP ASC 740 tax accounting expert supporting regional tax experts and Country Controllers at a local level regarding income tax accounting issues.+ Manage timeliness and ensure technical accuracy of quarterly effective tax rate and income tax cash payment forecasts, annual provision, and provision to return true-up.+ Ensure all local tax accounting issues are properly analyzed, supported, and documented, including current and deferred tax, valuation allowance positions, unrecognized tax benefits, M&A transactions, and impacts of pending legislation.+ Collaborate with a team of regional tax accounting experts to support quarterly reporting of income taxes.+ Assist with external financial audits and reviews of income taxes, including drafting the income tax footnote and other disclosures.+ Advocate compliance with Income Tax Accounting internal controls applicable at the local level.+ Conduct local income tax accounting training as required for the tax and country controllership groups.+ Manage various global income tax accounting and reporting processes.Basic Qualifications:+ Bachelor’s degree+ Minimum 5 years of Tax and/or Financial Reporting experience with a US multinational company and/or public accounting firmPreferred Qualifications:+ Experience computing domestic and international tax provisions under the US Tax Cuts and Jobs Act+ Working knowledge of US GAAP standard ASC 740, Accounting for Income Taxe s+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent advanced degree+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)+ Prior experience using OneSource Tax Provision and ERP software (SAP, Oracle, etc.)+ Experience in teaming with third party tax service providers+ Certified Public Accountant (CPA)Professional Skills:+ Team player: collaborative with peers and demonstrates an ability to team and communicate effectively with finance and tax teams across different cultures and at all levels of management+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including comfort in making and defending decisions in ambiguous situations+ Ability to deliver high quality work product under tight deadlines+ Strong presentation, organizational and project management skills+ Independent thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills+ Demonstrated ability to team and communicate effectively, across functions and time zonesCompensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
