Social and Digital Media SpecialistLocation HI - HonoluluJob Code 12236# of openings 1Apply Now (be.taleo.net/phg04/ats/careers/v2/applyRequisition?org=AKIMEKATECH&cws=43&rid=12236)The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) has a need for a Social and Digital Media Specialist to support our government customer located in Honolulu, HI.DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES :+ Collaborate with Fleet Forces Command to craft and execute a comprehensive digital media strategy that aligns with COMNAVSURFGRU MIDPAC’s objectives.+ Emphasize strategic planning, content creation, platform management, audience engagement tactics, analytics utilization, and compliance monitoring within Navy guidelines.+ Implement a structured approach to ensure the strategy’s adaptability to changing communication trends and organizational goals.+ Generate engaging multimedia content (videos, graphics, articles, infographics) tailored to resonate with diverse audiences while upholding Navy messaging guidelines.+ Regularly update and manage social media platforms with high-quality content that reflects CNSG MIDPAC’s values and objectives.+ Ensure accuracy, relevance, and timeliness of content delivery across various digital media platforms.+ Actively oversee and maintain CNSF MIDPAC’s social media profiles, fostering continuous interaction, and responsiveness with the audience.+ Employ tailored engagement tactics such as contests, polls, live sessions, and community-driven initiatives to enhance audience participation and retention.+ Implement strategies to increase platform visibility, reach, and user engagement metrics.+ Conduct regular analysis of social media metrics, audience behavior, and campaign performance to derive actionable insights.+ Generate comprehensive reports and data-driven assessments to optimize strategies for greater impact and alignment with communication objectives.+ Utilize analytics to refine content, engagement strategies, and platform management for enhanced effectiveness.+ Ensure adherence to Navy directives, security protocols, and confidentiality standards in all digital communication efforts.+ Safeguard the integrity and credibility of CNSG MIDPAC’s online presence by maintaining compliance with established guidelines and policies.+ Foster collaborative relationships across departments to maintain consistent branding and messaging throughout all digital platforms.+ Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in digital communication to continually optimize strategies.+ Other duties as assigned.REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION :+ Must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.+ Certificates/diplomas from the Defense Information School (DINFOS) and/or intelligence (especially Open Source) training curriculums, or in the area of Digital Marketing/Engagement can be used in lieu of the bachelor’s degree requirement.REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :+ General knowledge or familiarity of joint and effects-based planning; maritime and/or joint headquarters experience.+ Intermediate or advanced understanding/familiarity of social media content creation and social media assessment tools, MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams. Also basic to medium level of skills in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator and basic video editing.+ Experience three to eight (3-8) years assessing, analyzing, and reporting on digital and social media effects and efforts as well as content creation and digital marketing strategies.+ Medium to expert knowledge of common off-the-shelf/commercial social media assessment tools.+ Familiarity and experience with DoD public affairs regulation and procedures.REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE :+ Must be a U.S. Citizen+ Must be able to pass a Tier 5 background check.​The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is a fast-growing government service provider.
