Basic level duties include, but are not limited to, producing reports of requested material, retrieving shelved material/reshelving material, scanning articles, processing material to circulate, updating Annex statistics, using the Libraries’ integrated library system to update location information of material, use of library equipment, performing maintenance on collections and library material, and assisting with the inventory of collections. Training will be provided by the department.The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment. Candidates must possess the ability to work with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and cultures, and to foster a collaborative work environment that empowers employees to contribute to the goals of the University Libraries.This is an off-campus position located at the Annex facilities on Research Drive in State College. Candidates must provide their own transportation.This position has been identified to work on site since the responsibilities of this position cannot be completed remotely.Workdays are Monday through Friday between 9:30 AM and 1:30 PM, with a maximum of 20 hours per week.Applicants should be available to work during the academic school year, during breaks, and during the summer.Penn State is committed to and accountable for advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in all of its forms.
