You'll be responsible for owning and sculpting the UX process as well as our design system. In addition to having superior leadership and mentoring skills, you'll also be hands on and lead by example. You'll be passionate about great experiences (regardless of how small), have a clean visual design aesthetic, be experienced in taking a pragmatic approach to conducting research, and you will continue to actively develop UX knowledge/skills of your own and of your team.Key Responsibilities:+ Lead, develop, and govern all matters related to UX across the Product Development department.+ Refine and help document the UX process.+ Recruit and hire new UX talent to add to the team as needed.+ Collaborate with your peers who hold leadership positions in other departments to maximize efficiency and consistency across all of the company's offerings.+ Mentor UX teams on the sketching and storyboarding of relevant interactions to help everyone see and understand the big picture.+ Use your sharp eye for uncluttered design and delightful experiences to guide your UX team's efforts toward an elegant solution.+ Help your team generate the appropriate artifacts-sketches, wireframes, workflow diagrams, prototypes, etc.-to enable achieving the goal quickly with as little investment as possible.+ Oversee and manage the priority of the work done on the company design system.+ Some travel required.Qualified Candidates will have:+ BA/BS degree in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, or related field, and 4+ years of relevant experience; or MA/MS degree in HCI, Design, or related field, and 3+ years of relevant experience; or 6+ years of relevant experience.+ Proven leadership experience including 3+ years as the direct supervisor of a team of designers.+ Extensive experience conducting UX research (mastery of Optimal Workshop a plus).+ Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills along with a portfolio demonstrating your abilities (excellent visual design skills a plus).+ Extensive experience following Agile and Lean methodologies, and a proven ability to work collaboratively with others.+ Understanding of modern desktop, web, and mobile design challenges/trends.
