In this project we update training publications and manuals to reflect revised curricula provided by instructional experts and experienced maritime power plant technicians as part of the Navy’s training program. Begin your journey of a flourishing and meaningful career, Share your resume with us today!****Responsibilities Include:**+ Candidate will be a member of a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Navy and contractor maritime power plant subject matter experts, technical editors, instructional system designers, and engineers working in a fast-paced, demanding environment.+ Assists with the creation or updating of training documentation for publication and/or web-based delivery.+ Candidate will be a motivated self-starter who is able to multi-task, work within deadlines, and able to smoothly transition between various projects to meet program goals.+ Have excellent communication skills, the ability to work with Maritime Power Plant Training Specialists, Technical Editors, Instructional Systems Designers, Engineers, and other Subject Matter Experts.+ Provide accurate task completion estimates.+ Assist in the research, selection, and modification of existing training content to meet learning needs.+ Converting and reformatting supplied content to be incorporated into new or existing training publications.+ Supports training team administrative functions as assigned.+ Successful candidate may work in either West Mifflin, PA or Ballston Spa, NY; however, please note you will be in one of those locations as telework opportunities are limited, and fully remote work is not permitted on this subcontract due to security requirements.**Required** **Experience** **, Skills, and Education:**+ Will have a minimum of an Associate’s degree with three (3) years of professional experience or equivalent combined education/experience.+ Will be familiar working in a markup language (SGML, XML, HTML).+ Will be proficient working with Adobe Acrobat Pro.+ Will be proficient in developing computer-based vector graphics using Adobe Illustrator.+ Will be proficient in developing computer-based raster graphics using Adobe Photoshop.+ Will be proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Excel and Word.+ Possess an active or current final US Secret security clearance before starting work.**Preferred** **Experience** **, Skills, and Education:**+ Bachelor’s Degree and 1 year relevant experience or equivalent education and experience or Associate's degree with five (5) years of professional experience.+ Proficient use of PTC Arbortext Epic Editor.+ Familiarity using Microsoft Access.+ Familiarity or background with any Armed Forces technical training programs is a plus.+ Capable of serving as a member of a multi-disciplinary virtual team at geographically dispersed locations.**Clearance Required:**+ US Citizen; Currently possess or ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Secret Clearance or DoE L or Q clearance is a plus.** **_We strongly prefer candidates with active_** **_or current clearances but will open a background investigation for accepted interviewed candidate (ability to obtain clearance is contingency of hire).This position has a starting salary of 70,000-75,000 annually.**Original Posting Date:**2024-08-07While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.**Pay Range:**Pay Range $49,400.00 - $89,300.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
