Apply now!Job SummaryThe Manager of Advancement Communications reports to the Director of Advancement Communications and Donor Impact and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day marketing and communications activity within Institute Advancement, providing communications support and management for planned giving, annual giving, regional and constituent development, alumni engagement (including the RAA as needed), and events.The Manager works closely with the Director on all stewardship initiatives to ensure alignment on messaging, brand enforcement, and strategy within Advancement Communications and Donor Impact, IA, and the Institute. The Manager will coordinate with all Advancement Communications and Donor Impact staff to ensure consistency, effectiveness, and integration of communication across all programs, and supports Institute Advancement’s fundraising, participation, and engagement goals through effective marketing, communications, and brand management in alignment with the Office of Community Engagement and Communications (OCEC). In collaboration with the Director and Communications staff, the Manager will ensure targeted communications and strategies are considered and implemented for all identified audiences.Minimum Qualifications+ Bachelor’s degree in a related field+ Five (5) years of communications experience in a non-profit setting including two years in a supervisory roleRelevant combinations of education, training and experience may be considered.Preferred Qualifications• Experience in higher education fundraisingMinimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities+ A demonstrable record of successful persuasive writing that has generated fundraising results+ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written+ Ability to work with limited direction, and to work on more than one project/task at a time in a collaborative, academic/research environment+ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously+ Ability to supervise and train employees, including organizing, prioritizing, and assigning projects+ Must be proactive and able to work without supervision, demonstrate high self-motivation+ Ability to organize, prioritize, and follow up+ Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills+ Strong analytical skills with attention to detail+ Ability to work in a team environment+ Requires ability to work effectively under pressure and meet established goals and objectives+ Requires ability to work with a diverse population+ Proficiency with Microsoft OfficeShiftBusiness Hours with weekends or evenings occasionally requiredTravelOccasional overnight travel may be requiredDrivingDriving a personal vehicle for non-passenger useStarting Salary/RateExpected hiring range: $80,000 - $85,000 per yearPay transparency disclosure: The selected candidate’s salary will be determined based on factors that include the available budget, internal equity, and the final candidate’s qualifications, experience, education and other job-related credentials.
