A successful candidate will be involved in the complete life cycle of the product design process – design, validate, deploy, and maintain. This position will provide development testing support to the existing product manufacturing as well as the new product introduction to meet the project deliverables.**As the** **Test Design Professional, Electronics Integration and Test** **you will:**+ Define and execute reliability test plans for existing products and new development at the component and system level. Acquire, analyze, and evaluate data. Perform failure analysis to identify the issue and implement corrective and preventative actions.+ Define and develop test systems hardware and software in the laboratory environment to drive electro-mechanical device assemblies and products under test.+ Work closely with hardware and software team members to ensure flawless integration of test equipment, hardware, and software.+ Support test equipment development and upgrade activities including requirements capture, drawing development, vendor evaluation, requirement verification, and equipment validation.+ Using automation software languages, develop GUI driven, software/hardware systems to control test equipment, data acquisition systems and similar devices, interfacing with and incorporating a variety of sensors and actuators (pneumatic etc.) for the purpose of validating products in lab environment.+ Perform commissioning and deploying functional test systems for high volume production in manufacturing environment.**You will make impact if you have the following qualifications:****Basic Qualifications:**+ Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or related discipline and minimum 5 years of prior relevant Engineer experience OR a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related Engineer experience.+ 5+ years of experience in reliability and development testing in the field of electrical engineering in the power distribution industry.+ 5+ years of gained knowledge on electronic hardware development, preferably embedded systems.+ Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer without sponsorshipPreferred Qualifications:+ Knowledge of IOT communication protocols such as Bluetooth, Zigbee, and Wi-Fi.+ Experience in hardware/software integration of large systems including security requirements.+ Knowledge on firmware development and testing+ Knowledge and experience of UL certification (UL 1699, 1008, 943, 489i or similar) is a plus.+ Familiarity with programming and automation software.+ Industry experience developing custom electronic test equipment including system architecture, hardware design and development, requirement verification and validation.+ Knowledgeable in measurement and sampling techniques to accurately measure and record data using electronics measurement equipment.+ Knowledgeable in communication protocols used to command and automate common lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, waveform generators, logic analyzers, etc.+ Experienced in the verification of test systems to show compliance to system requirements.+ Ability to trouble shoot electronic test systems, identify root cause, and implement corrective and preventative actions to eliminate reoccurrence.+ Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.+ Proficient with Microsoft Office products.**You will benefit from:**+ Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees.
