In this vital role you will work in collaboration with cross-functional collaborators for the Ultra Rare Medicines and Rare Pipeline and aligned with product strategy, accountable for a broad scope of responsibilities, including:+ Development of publications (manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and enhanced content) and medical content (e.g., disease state education/digital/medical science liaison materials/FAQs/Medical Information Letters) to implement the Scientific Communication Plan.+ Ensuring compliance with publication SOPs, GPP, ICMJE standards.+ Ensuring that content is developed in alignment with Scientific Communication strategy, and to meet timelines and budgets.+ Collaborate with subject matter experts, Sci Comm Sr Managers/Directors, Global Medical Affairs Lead and vendors on publication and content development.+ Aiding medical strategies through scientific expertise and defining appropriate, relevant, and innovative channels for delivery of medical and scientific content to reach target audiences.+ Supervising the work of vendors.+ Maintaining positive relationships with Medical Strategy & Operations in support of standardization of processes, optimizing systems, and furthering continuous improvement and innovation, including use of digital and multi-channel approaches, as well as definition of impactful of important metrics.+ Maintaining strong working relationships with cross-functional partners on the extended team.**Win****What we expect of you**We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The dynamic professional we seek is a leader with these qualifications.**Basic Qualifications:**Doctorate degreeORMaster’s degree and 3 years of Publications/Medical/Scientific Affairs experienceORBachelor’s degree and 5 years of Publications/Medical/Scientific Affairs experienceORAssociate’s degree and 10 years of Publications/Medical/Scientific Affairs experienceORHigh school diploma / GED and 12 years of Publications/Medical/Scientific Affairs experienceIn addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must have leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation or resources. Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced above**Preferred Qualifications:**+ PharmD, PhD, MD, or DO with 1 or more years of relevant experience in clinical research, Publications, Medical/Scientific Affairs, and/or basic research+ Prior experience in Publications, Medical Affairs or Clinical Development within the biopharmaceutical industry, and/or clinical or research experience+ Understanding of current publication environment, good publication practices, and other global guidelines related to publications, scientific data communication, and transparency standards+ Understanding of the pharmaceutical commercialization process and knowledge of the regulatory and legal guidelines affecting promotion of prescription products+ Demonstrated track record of strategy in a matrix environment with limited supervision+ Experience managing vendors+ Excellent interpersonal, organizational, time management, and project planning skills+ Ability to lead and/or facilitate effective team meetings+ Strong computer and database skills, particularly with Microsoft Office products**Thrive****What you can expect of us**As we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for our teammates’ professional and personal growth and well-being.The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted.
