You’ll also have access to:+ Career development with an international company where you can grow the career you dream of.+ Free medical coverage for employees* via the Health Investment Plan (HIP) PPO+ An excellent retirement savings plan with high employer contribution+ Tuition reimbursement, the Freedom 2 Save (bbott.com/corpnewsroom/strategy-and-strength/tackling-student-debt-for-our-employees.html) student debt program and FreeU (bbott.com/corpnewsroom/strategy-and-strength/college-degree-for-free-its-possible-with-freeu.html) education benefit - an affordable and convenient path to getting a bachelor’s degree.+ A company recognized as a great place to work in dozens of countries around the world and named one of the most admired companies in the world by Fortune.+ A company that is recognized as one of the best big companies to work for as well as a best place to work for diversity, working mothers, female executives, and scientists.**What You'll Do**+ Responsible for mechanical and operational troubleshooting; responsible for repairing assembly related problems.+ •Support the implementation of improvements and innovate methods of resolving problems.+ May be required to work with hazardous materials.+ Responsible for preventative maintenance procedures on all manufacturing equipment.+ Provide management with necessary information and reports; maintain procedures and records as per company standards; proactively communicate unexpected equipment downtime and delays that will impact production efficiencies+ Generate and update documentation for manufacturing engineering.+ Provide technical support for complex equipment projects.+ Support the implementation of effective improvements to equipment, process and procedures.+ Assist with equipment validations (FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, PQ).+ Responsible for executions of technical tasks.+ Responsible for ensuring OEE metrics are maintained month over month.+ Demonstrates commitment to the development, implementation and effectiveness of Abbott Quality Management System per ISO, FDA, and other regulatory agencies.+ Basic understanding of federal regulations as well as other regulatory and company requirements.+ Understands and is aware of the quality consequences which may occur from the improper performance of their specific job; has awareness of device defects that may occur in their area of responsibility, including product design, verification and validation, manufacturing and testing activities+ Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices; build productive internal/external working relationships+ Carries out duties in compliance with established business policies+ Other duties as assigned, according to the changing needs of the business**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS |** **EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:**+ Associate degree in mechanical, manufacturing or electrical engineering/technician; or equivalent of three years of experience in a semi-automated manufacturing environment.+ Minimum three years of experience in maintenance of automated production equipment**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:**+ Experience in a work environment that involved direct responsibility for equipment operation.+ Knowledge of pneumatically operated pick-and-place mechanisms and programming logic for automated manufacturing processes.+ Knowledge of PLC programming and Vision Inspection systems is an asset.+ Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies is an asset.+ Knowledge of SolidWorks, CAD, JMP software is an asset.+ Knowledge of design of experiments is an asset.The base pay for this position is $21.55 – $43.15 per hour.
